My objectives are to keep abreast with innovation in economics and finance and with their public policy implications and have the opportunity to utilize my long research and operational experience in these fields, particularly in undertaking applied research and implementing projects and programs. I enjoy managing people and resources and directing them towards common goals.

My research interest is in the development and functioning of financial markets, including financial analysis, project finance with the involvement of International Financial Institutions (IFIs), public policy, political economy, regulatory aspects, and the cost and benefits (CBA) of government intervention. A crucial attention is on audit and audit performance, particularly in the area of micro finance and micro insurance. Recent interests include debt markets, insurance markets, and entrepreneurship. Interests in methods include panel data and spatial analysis, structural equation modeling, time series, survey design and implementation, and network analysis.
